Dedication

To My Sisters

Over the past few months I have spent a lot of time, energy and sleepless nights mapping out this outlet.  This began as a means for me to be able to share my life experiences, knowledge, and wisdom to some of the women that I hold dearest to my heart: My Sisters.  I put a lot of heart and soul into creating this blog in order to give myself a platform to encourage  Empowerment and build Confidence by sharing personal pieces of my own journey.

It may sound cliché but I want to use my stories of struggles and successes to show that it truly doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, it’s all about the getting back up and learning from those falls that matter in life. I am determined to live a purposeful life! When given the choice I will choose to turn my “Messes” into Messages and allow my experiences to become teachable moments, to guide willing hearts down the proper path.  I hope my sisters know that it has been a pleasure and privilege to watch each of them grow into brave, beautiful, deserving women, young adults, and independent individuals that I truly admire and that I am EXTREMELY proud of!!

Tenacious is defined as extremely persistent, relentless, or determined in doing something.  You could even characterize it as being stubborn in the pursuit of a cause.  I chose the title “Totally Tenacious Mom” because I believe it describes the person that I am and the woman that I strive to be every day.  I am far from perfect and have my fair share of flaws but this life is not about perfection it’s about being the Best Version of Ourselves.  I do not give up easily on situations, on myself, and especially other people.

I am a mom to an amazing and energetic 4 year old boy "Jaxson" who makes living life to the fullest seem so simple.  He fills my days with smiles, love, and laughter.  He makes even the little moments of life feel like grand adventures.  I am also the mom to a baby boy "Cooper" who I consider to be a real life angel. In just a short amount of time this little miracle shaped and impacted my life in ways unimaginable. He now resides in his heavenly home after God gave him his angel wings when I was just 32 weeks pregnant.  However, long before I was blessed with these two little boys I was fortunate to be the older sister to three incredible girls. While technically we are sisters, the depth of my love for them is so unconditional it’s as if they are my own children. I am also privileged to have an older sister who I greatly respect and look up to. She is my go to source when I need a “professional opinion”. She and I are very similar and frequently bounce life’s grueling topics off of one another. While each of us are going through vastly different seasons in our lives, I hope that you can take something from this blog and apply it to the season your currently in.

In addition to using this blog as a growth, strengthening, inspirational hub to help my sisters embrace their process while navigating their path, it occurred to me that with the beauty of internet (such a wonderfully powerful tool) this can be a source to help any woman (including YOU). We as women all hit road blocks from time to time and need a little reassurance and guidance to get back on track. If you can relate to my personal reflections or find yourself facing similar struggles I want to help YOU! Please know that you are not alone. God loves YOU and you should love yourself and BELIEVE in who you are. You deserve to live a healthy happy life. YOU are Worth it! We as women and particularly mothers tend to take care of others and neglect our individual needs.  This is unhealthy.  In life we have to put the oxygen mask on our own face first in order to be able to help others.

I am not an expert but I am a real woman living a real life and I hope to use my real experiences to help others who are willing to help themselves.  I enjoy posting about Faith, Family, Food, and Fitness because these are areas that I struggle but have learned to fail forward and develop my bounce back muscles. I want to help YOU to succeed in these areas and become the Best Version of You while living my best life and being the Best Version of Me.

If you have any questions, comments, or just need a virtual friend I am just an email away.  Life is a continuous voyage.  It’s not what we take with us, but what we leave behind that matters.  It’s not what we have, but what we give to others. This is my gift to my beloved sisters, and to YOU.
